Biennale 2013 - Collateral Events

The museum is pleased to invite guests and the public to the collateral events. Free invitations should be picked up from the front desk of the museum.

The exhibition is open everyday from 10.00 - 13.00 and from 4pm - 7.pm.

Saturday 7th of September

5pm - Inauguration

Parade of the Band "Bonaventura Somma" from Piazza Italia, from the Central Square of Chianciano Terme to the Museum.

Inauguration of the Exhibition. Cocktail party in honour of the participants.

Sunday 8th of September

5pm - Folk Group "Agilla e Trasimeno"

Nervi Hall, Terme of Chianciano

Pietro Antonio Stefano Mascagni (Italian: December 7, 1863 – August 2, 1945) was an Italian composer most noted for his operas. His 1890 masterpiece Cavalleria rusticana caused one of the greatest sensations in opera history and single-handedly ushered in the Verismo movement in Italian dramatic music.

Pier Luigi Nervi (June 21, 1891 – January 9, 1979) was an Italian engineer. He studied at the University of Bologna and qualified in 1913. Dr. Nervi taught as a professor of engineering at Rome University from 1946-61. He is widely known as a structural engineer and an architect, and for his innovative use of reinforced concrete.

From 1961-1962 Nervi was the Norton professor at Harvard University.
